Supplemental Programs

Our Programs

Our Supplemental Programs provide eligible participants with a variety of basic resources that include: hygiene and self-care items, household cleaning supplies, diapers, and shower services.

Through Kansas City’s Medicine Cabinet program, we also assist with certain medical and dental emergencies.

Each year, we host The Christmas Store, which provides about 350 Wyandotte County families with the opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts for their family.

Our Commodities program provides low-income seniors with a monthly box of shelf-stable food.

Our goal is to ensure the dignity and respect of the individuals and families in our community by addressing their basic needs as we are able.

Diapers

Through generous donations from the community, Cross-Lines aims to provide a monthly supply of diapers to parents with babies under the age of three. We believe that diapers are essential for a happy, healthy baby and that every family deserves access to this basic need. In many cases, Cross-Lines is also able to provide parents with baby formula, wipes, and other related products. Visit our Community Market for diapers.

Medicine Cabinet

Through Cross-Lines’ partnership with Kansas City’s Medicine Cabinet program, uninsured individuals can receive emergency medical services. Services provided by the medicine cabinet include 30-day supplies of prescription medications, emergency dental care, eye exams and glasses, and certain durable medical equipment items. Contact Cross-Lines to see if Medicine Cabinet can help you.

The Christmas Store

For six full days in December, the Christmas Store is open to those who have pre-registered in October. Registrants are given a specific time to visit the Christmas Store and local volunteers guide each family through the Store. Quantities are based on household size. Learn more here.

Shower program

Cross-Lines offers emergency showers for those experiencing homelessness. Each morning, individuals are able to take a shower before breakfast. This service helps restore dignity and hope to individuals needing it the most. Learn more about our shower program.
