Cross-Lines Programs

Emergency Assistance provides individuals and families with opportunities to receive basic necessities such as:
  • Clothing Closet – free clean clothing
  • Rent and Utility Assistance
  • Shower facilities
  • Laundry services

Hunger Relief addresses the immediate need to feed the hungry while attacking the long-term impact of malnutrition. Cross-Lines distributes approximately one million pounds of food each year through:
  • Breakfasts and lunches served Monday through Friday at the Community Annex
  • Food pantry that provides free groceries to qualified participants due to emergency situations
  • Monthly commodity distribution which provides groceries to the elderly, homebound and single mothers with children living in Wyandotte, Leavenworth and Johnson counties
  • Brown bag lunches for clients to take to work.

Thrift Store helps low-income families purchase essential household items – furniture, dishes, clothing, and major appliances – at minimal costs. All proceeds from the Thrift Store support our programs and operating costs. The Thrift Store hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Cross-Lines is always in need of donated items for the thrift store. Items in high demand include:
  • Large and small appliances in good working condition including washers, dryers, stoves and refrigerators
  • Pentium II computers or newer with Windows operating system
  • Furniture including sofas, beds, dressers, kitchen tables and chairs, lamps
  • Donated automobiles
  • Bath and Bedding, Knick Knacks
  • House wares and pots/pans
We will come to your house to pick up your large donated items. If you need to schedule a pickup at your home, please call (913) 281-2274.
